Key Note Address

Emerging Resilience across Emerging Adulthood

Across the transition to adulthood, there is marked growth in psychosocial strengths and resources that buffer stress and promote emotional well-being. In this talk, Dr. Barker discusses theory and research from lifespan developmental and positive psychology that shows that resilience emerges across emerging adulthood via the negotiation of stressful experiences that mark this transitional period of the life course.
